Black Friday furniture deals: Will supply issues delay your home decor forever?

The pandemic’s reach had a devastating impact on everything from hospitals to schools to jobs. One area being hit hard, as a result, is the supply chain to build homes, furniture, and anything requiring imported items. According to CNN, factory closures in Vietnam over the latter part of the summer because of COVID spread will likely make things even worse: “The situation in Vietnam will further impact U.S. furniture sellers who are already grappling with a global supply chain slowdown tied to shipping container and labor shortages, among other factors. That’s happening at the same time that demand for furniture is hotter than ever.”

Because of this, you could be waiting months into 2022 for certain furniture items, even when they pop up on sale for Black Friday. If you don’t need an item right away, it may not mean much to you. But if you just moved homes and don’t have a bed, it can be a major dilemma. Here are some Black Friday furniture deals, so you know the best time to buy furniture and where.

Where can I find living room sets?

If you’re in the market for living room furniture that won’t take months to arrive, check out the deals on Overstock. The online retailer always has deals, but there are even more savings to be had right now. We love the idea of an ottoman as a coffee table, and this Cairona tufted ottoman is a winner. Here’s why:

  • Comes in a wide array of fabric/wood colors
  • Lower shelf that can be used to display decor
  • 15% off for Black Friday

If you want a couch too, check out this Zahra five-piece fabric sectional from Christopher Knight Home. It’s currently 20% off, and here is why we love it!

  • Mix and match pieces for the design that’s right for you
  • Comes in three colors
  • 100% polyester for easy cleaning
  • Sleek modern design

Here’s an awesome table deal

If you’re on the hunt for a new dining room table, look no further than Amazon. If you need a table before Christmas, check out this Walker Edison Andre 72-inch table, on sale now for $332.47. With this table you get:

  • Fast shipping with Amazon Prime
  • Responsibly-sourced pine
  • Comfortably seats six to eight people
  • Classic modern look

There are other colors available, but you’ll pay more than the mahogany option.

If midcentury modern is more your jam, check out this Walker Edison maple table, also on Amazon. This 60-inch table works better in smaller kitchens or dining rooms and here is why you should give it a look.

  • Easy to follow instructions for assembly
  • Ships by end of November
  • Solid wood legs
  • Seats six people comfortably

All of the options above will fill the void in your dining, living, and bedrooms, especially if you’re in a pinch and need something right away. Other retailers like Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Walmart are also having major Black Friday sales this year on household decor items, so do some homework online, and you’ll be sure to find pieces that speak to you without the dreaded pandemic delay.
