Very impressive workmanship on this duffel; everything seems built to last. I haven't had a chance to travel with it yet but I practiced packing using the Bagail 6-pack cubes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D4F1T2L and the Simple Houseware 4-pack cubes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R7D4V5Y, and it all fits nicely in the duffel with one or two cubes left over. I take long car trips with my dog and I wanted a rolling duffel big enough to hold the dog stuff and plenty of clothes, so I don't need to make multiple trips with smaller bags between car and hotel room, or hassle with the hotel luggage trolley while checking in with an energetic 50-lb dog. I can't wait to load up this new beast and hit the road!UPDATE: this is a GREAT travel bag for car trips. Probably for air trips too, but I haven't tried that. I've now taken it on several week-long car trips and I can cram in everything I need for me and my dog and the bag is perfect.

I initially was hesitant to commit to buying these bags, but I am so glad I did!
It was the price that threw me off, seemed just too be to low to be a high quality product. However, I took the leap and was proven wrong. These bags are very sturdy, made from high quality tough material and the wheels are holding up nicely so far. I love that they are split into individually zippered upper and lower compartments making it easy to get to the stuff in the bottom even once fully packed. In addition there are several exterior pockets to hold items that need to be readily accessible or get added later (like in our winter jackets once we got into the airport). Fully packed (including several pairs of shoes and snorkeling gear) they still stayed below the 50lbs allotted per bag. I love that they stand on end on their own, thanks to a bar opposite of the wheels, unlike our previous Samsonite wheeled duffles. Handles extend far enough so the bags don't hit you in the legs as you walk with them, and the two handles on top make it easy to load them into your car or onto a luggage carrier. Great bags and can hold their own with much more expensive ones, would highly recommend!

We got rid of our large assortment of luggage a few years ago. We usually only travel for weekend get-aways, so the larger pieces weren't needed. When we need larger pieces, we aren't traveling ... we are moving overseas.

My husband recently transferred overseas again and needed a large suitcase of some sort. Because these can be collapsed down and stored, we chose to go with a rolling duffel instead of an actual suitcase.

Because he needed work gear and regular clothes, this was a good decision. He was able to pack a few days of work stuff and a week of clothing, plus shoes, toiletries and the normal odd and ends he needed to set up at his new job. The bag was absolutely stuffed, and it didn't go over the weight limit at the airport or with any of the airlines he used.

The bag held up well. My husband's only complaint (not a strong complaint) is that it wouldn't stand upright. It's a duffel bag. I've had suitcases that wouldn't stay upright. I'm more concerned with the fabric staying in one piece and the zippers not breaking. This bag meets its basic function at a good price.

The material is nice. it is thick. I don't think it will ever rip. There is double stitching in strategic places. I have read complaints about the weight of the bag, but I did not find it overly heavy. I think the weight, a couple pounds more than some competing bags, is just because built more solidly.

I found the zippers to be good.

It is spacious. It opens to 15"a 16 " in cross section. Another similar bag I had (the GONEX) was divided into a structured section an a lid. So you could only put things that were less than 8 or 9" high in the bag. That was not good for me. This bag isn't like that. You can put things that are almost 35" long and
15" high inside.

The outside pockets are also nice, particularly the top one.

Things I don't like are the mesh divider and the valuables holder. The mesh divider just reduces the space in the bag. You can remove it (which I did of course) but you are still left with a trim area which holds a zipper that interferes with the loading of the bag. I have no idea why they put that mesh thing in there it is slightly annoying. The valuables holder is just simply useless. Its does not degrade the product, but it takes up a little space and I doubt anyone uses it.

I filled the bag completely with clothing and it weighed 49 lbs. I think people finding it to be over the 50 lbs airline limit are putting heavier things it. I am taking it on a cruise ship, not an airplane, so don't really care about the weight. But I know some people do.

I love this bag! I originally bought a less expensive Rockland wheeled duffel bag but was very disappointed with how thick the fabric was. It was thin and I knew if anything heavy was put in it the stitching would rip, especially on the end handle. And of course with a bag this large it's bound to get heavy. So I returned it and bought the Amazon Basics bag. I'm glad Amazon has a good return policy. Things like this are a gamble until you see it in person. What a great design this is, and super robust. This thing is built like a tank. The zippers are of excellent quality and are very smooth. There's a video on YouTube of the different compartments and straps etc. Find it and watch it for a better idea. There's more to this design than meets the eye. If you're in the market for a good strong, sturdy wheeled duffel bag then this is it. You can spend less money on something else but it probably won't last and you'll kick yourself for being too frugal. In fact I liked the bag so much I bought a second one in the 30 inch size. There's an old saying that is appropriate for something like this..... "buy cheap buy twice". If you're in the market for a wheeled duffel bag I suggest you spend a little more money and buy the Amazon Basics bag. You'll be glad you did.
