Used in the kitchen of doom, under the Ikea / Whirlpool branded microwave, which has two light intensities. I did not want a bright light, just the light to see a little around the kitchen, stove, dungeon, et cetera without risking finding that I've fallen and can't get up. This package of lights is well made, better than the Amazon Fire tablet, which I can't say is as valuable as these simple, useful incandescent bulbs. The color is a gentle, classic, kinda yellowish brown normal night light white color, much less garish than LED light emitting diode bulbs. I leave it on pretty much 24 hours a day with no issues with heat, and still on the first bulb after several weeks of being constantly on, inside the nether regions under the bottom of a frequently used microwave, and above a very frequently used stove top. Yes, this is actually a much better purchase than the Amazon Fyre QVC tablet. If this matches the bulb you liked in the past in your nuke machine, this will be adequate, and in a world of stuff like Amazon hardware making life actually harder and more stressful, you can be happy that 100yr old light-bulb technology is better than an ereader with a highly reflective and glossy screen trying to run with just one application open in the background.

Bought these bulbs a couple of times for my microwave, and they've always arrived in good working condition. They're bright enough and functional. They don't last super long, but they are at least as good as any other bulbs I've tried. For me, the secret to better bulb longevity has been to replace both microwave bulbs at the same time, even if only one is out. And, with these bulbs being fairly inexpensive, it doesn't feel like I'm throwing money away when I do so.

UPDATE - The first bulb I replaced lasted about 5 months using it as a night light every night for about 10-12 hours a day (due to winter hours). So that's around 1650 hours. The product page states they will last 2000+ hours so that was under - but could be that my microwave has issue with burning bulbs out quicker. I would have kept the stars at 5 but when it burned out I made sure it was screwed in and turned the light back on and it exploded (bulb burst with a popping sound and the glass went everywhere)! I had to turn off the breaker to get the base out and clean up all the glass (this was plugged into one of the under the microwave stove top light sockets). That hasn't happened before and I'm not sure why it occurred but my first thought was these are not the same quality of the name brand. But in case it was an issue with me screwing it too tight I have only decreased by 1 star for now. I have since replaced the other bulb and this new one and have now only these new bulbs under the micro and will see if any more explosion/bursts...

Vendor bulb was shorter than these by about a 1/2 inch but the base was correct and wattage correct and plenty of space for the bulb and beyond in this model. It works well bright and dim like the vendor bulb. The cost for 8 of these was almost the same cost as 2 from the vendor. So assuming they last same amount then is good deal. One of the under microwave light sockets seems to burn out much quicker than the other - lasts a few months tops. I will update this if these bulbs don't last at least that long. The bulbs arrived 1 day later than amazon said - which was fine. The bulbs were all intact (none broken). The tungsten wire was connected on all the ones I'm not using so presume they are good. Glad to get the more reasonable pricing for these little bulbs.

I had been getting LED bulbs for my microwave light and after a few months, they wouldn't shine very bright. Going from those to these was literally like night and day. The light that this bulb goes into stays on almost constantly. After a couple months, it's still shining just as bright. For the price and quantity of these, even if I only get 3-4 months out of these, the difference in brightness over the LED bulbs is worth it. Highly recommend.
The only negative is that the bulb seems a little bigger than the ones you'll get in the store. It was a bit of a hassle to get it installed, but that's the fault of my microwave light's design, not a flaw of these bulbs.

I have a model JNM3161DF1CC GE microwave. About 9 months ago, the under-the-microwave light bulb on the right side burnt out. So I bought the expensive GE brand replacement bulb to replace it. The bulb burnt out again after about 2-3 weeks. I wasn't happy, especially since the oem bulbs are quite costly. So I decided to try these replacement bulbs. They are dimmable btw, so that wasn't an issue. But these also burn out after about 2-3 weeks. I've come to the conclusion that the light bulb socket on the right side of the microwave must be defective...NOT the light bulbs. I'll keep buying these reasonably-priced replacement bulbs because it's cheaper than paying a technician to come in a fix/replace the bulb socket...even if it's repairable, considering the age of my microwave. Just wanted to clear up the question of the bulbs being defective. I read lots of reviews at the GE OEM website complaining about the bulbs burning out after a few weeks. This only confirms for me that it's a defect in the microwave part, not the bulbs.
